NextGen Widget Software sells a per-PC software license. Try the evaluation build before you pay. You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Refunds

You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting NextGen Widget Software through the help desk before you contact your bank. Include the order email and the order number. NextGen Widget Software reviews the request.
A refund is issued when the software did not run as described and NextGen Widget Software cannot correct the problem, or when the license was charged in error. A refund is not issued for a later change of mind, for buying the wrong edition after the trial was available, or for moving the software to another computer. A refunded license is deactivated and may not be used.
Payment is processed by 2Checkout. Refund requests received by 2Checkout are sent to NextGen Widget Software for a decision. In isolated cases where a complaint may escalate online, with a card network, or with another third party, 2Checkout may issue the refund itself in order to limit harm to the buyer, to NextGen Widget Software, and to 2Checkout.
Please evaluate the software before purchase. After payment is approved, NextGen Widget Software emails a per-PC activation key that unlocks the software on the one computer that produced the machine code you send. That key may be used indefinitely on that computer. It is not a license for a second computer.
If that computer crashes, is replaced, or is rebuilt with a new operating system, and the machine code changes, the existing key will not move to the new computer. Within one year of the original purchase date, you may buy one replacement key for that mishap at 50% of the current license price. You must send the original purchase receipt and the machine code from the replacement computer. This is a new per-PC key for one replacement computer. It is not a free reissue, and it is not a license to run the software on two computers at the same time.
After that one-year date, or if you want the software on an additional computer, a full new license is required.
This refund policy is also stated in the software license agreement presented in the program. Completing checkout, installing a paid key, or continuing past that agreement constitutes acceptance of these terms.
What “try before you buy” means
The evaluation build is your inspection period. Use it on the same kind of PC and workflow you intend to license. Confirm encryption, decryption, the vault, and any feature you rely on.
If the trial does not fit, do not purchase. Moving to another PC is not a refund. A mishap replacement, when it applies, is a separate discounted purchase described below.
What you are buying
You are buying a license (a right to use the software on one PC), not a transfer of ownership of the program itself. Digital delivery is complete when the activation key is sent to the email used at checkout (or the email you gave NextGen Widget Software for that order).
A machine-locked key is bound to that computer’s machine code. If a refund is issued, that key is deactivated.
Replacement keys
- A paid key is for one PC, identified by that PC’s machine code. It may be used indefinitely on that computer. It is not a license for a second computer.

Chargebacks and disputes
Contact NextGen Widget Software through the help desk before you dispute the charge with your bank. If NextGen Widget Software sent the wrong product, or the key never arrived and cannot be resent, that is a delivery problem and is corrected or refunded.
2Checkout processes the payment. Refund requests that reach 2Checkout are forwarded to NextGen Widget Software. Where a complaint may escalate, 2Checkout may refund the order itself, as stated above. An unjustified chargeback filed after a working key was delivered, and after a refund request was not made, may still be answered with this policy, the order record, and the delivery email.
Legal
This policy is part of the contract of sale together with the terms of use and the in-app software license. If a mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction gives you a non-waivable right that this page cannot limit, that law applies only to the extent required.
Nothing on this page is a warranty that the software will meet a particular legal, contractual, or industry encryption standard. The software is provided as described in the license, as-is, except where such a disclaimer is not allowed.
