Encrypt3 is not an installed “Programs and Features” product. You remove a folder.
Before you delete files
- Settings → Security → turn off Explorer Encrypt/Decrypt.
- Finish Watch folder work; move anything still in inbox/output.
- Backup the vault if you still need the keys.
- Exit Encrypt3.
Remove the program
- Delete the program folder (NextGenWigetEncrypt3.exe, .exe.config, Help, and any extra DLLs you shipped).
- Delete Desktop / Start shortcuts.
- Do not delete the .ngw3 vault unless you intend to destroy the keys.
Vault
The vault path is under Settings → Key store. That file can live outside the program folder. Uninstalling the exe does not always delete it. Delete the .ngw3 only when you mean to.
License
A license stored for this PC may remain in the registry until you or the license tool clears it. That does not keep the program running after the folder is gone. A new install on the same PC may still see the old license.
Explorer leftovers
If right-click verbs remain, start the program from a leftover copy, open Settings, uncheck Explorer, then delete that copy. Or ignore the verbs after the exe is gone; they will fail until removed.
Next
Backup the vault before you uninstall if the keys matter. Licensing if you will install on a replacement PC (one replacement per purchase).
