Operating system

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later (4.8.1 is fine). Windows 10/11 usually include it.
  • Not supported: macOS, Linux, or Windows on ARM as a published configuration

Computer

  • Typical 64-bit Windows PC or laptop
  • About 50 MB free for the program folder (exe, .config, Help), plus space for the vault and working files
  • Display at least 1280 × 720. Windows are fixed size (no maximize).

Files that must stay together

  • NextGenWigetEncrypt3.exe
  • NextGenWigetEncrypt3.exe.config

Extract the zip; do not run the exe alone.

Permissions

  • Standard user can run the program.
  • Administrator is not required to start.
  • Explorer verbs are per Windows user, from Settings.

Network (optional)

Only for Check for update, keyserver / WKD, and opening Support in the browser. Encrypt, decrypt, compose, and the vault work offline.

Not required

GnuPG, Kleopatra, a hardware token, a Microsoft account, or always-on Internet.

License

Evaluation uses the same PC requirements. A paid license is for one PC (machine code on About).
