System requirements

Operating system

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later (4.8.1 is fine). Windows 10/11 usually already include it.
  • Not for macOS, Linux, or Windows on ARM as a supported configuration

Computer

  • A normal PC or laptop that can run 64-bit Windows
  • About 50 MB free disk for the program folder (exe, .config, Help), plus space for the vault and encrypted files
  • Display at least 1280 × 720; the windows are fixed size and do not maximize

Files you must keep together

  • NextGenWigetEncrypt3.exe
  • NextGenWigetEncrypt3.exe.config

Extract the download zip and leave both in the same folder. The program does not install into the Windows “Programs and Features” list.

Permissions

  • A standard user account can run the program.
  • Administrator is not required to start Encrypt3.
  • Explorer Encrypt/Decrypt for this user is registered from Settings without an all-users install.

Network (optional)

Needed only for:

  • Check for update
  • Keyserver / WKD lookup
  • Support / Help desk link in the browser

Encrypt, decrypt, compose keys, and the vault work offline.

Not required

  • GnuPG or Kleopatra
  • A hardware token
  • A Microsoft account
  • Always-on Internet

License

  • Evaluation runs on the same requirements.
  • A purchased license is valid for one PC (machine code under Help → About).
